TEHRAN -- "The U.S. is not willing to resume relations with Iran, a country that does not recognize the U.S. interests in the region," said Secretary-General of the Islamic Revolution Mojahedin Organization (IRMO), Mohammad Salamati. He made the remark in response to a question on possibility of establishing ties with the United States at a recent question-and-answer session in Ardebil. "The U.S. will not consider a rapprochement with Iran as long as there is an Islamic system in this country," he further noted.
"As far as vital issues such as national security and territorial integrity are concerned, there should be total unity among all political factions and groups," Salamati stressed. The IRMO secretary-general also called on the people to have a high turnout at the polling booths in the elections for the Six Majlis in order to strengthen their national unity and security.
